Bro Doc Louviere:
Born along the Bayou of Louisiana, trouble seemed to be my constant companion. My whole life was filled with desire to make a name for myself. As a teen looking for adventure, I traveled to Africa. Following a brief encounter with the bloodiness of mercenaries, I developed a lifestyle of pure parties and pleasure with drugs at the center of it all.
Upon my return to the states, I ended up following my goal to become a big shot in the "Big Easy" as New Orleans is known. I devoted myself to dope dealing, being a bodyguard to drug lords, a barroom bouncer and even did a little farming ( farming to me was raising marijuana!)
At this point I became involved in the biker lifestyle. I bought a Harley that appealed to me and became the main supplier to several biker gangs in the area. My mind kept saying that I had arrived but my heart wouldn't give me rest.
During this time blood, booze and drugs were all around me. I was caught in fights and gang wars and saw many of my friends shot and stabbed. I saw some bleeding and some dying. There I was with them -- untouched by the violence. I saw bones broken and all types of mutilations. My only thought was that I was lucky -- lucky to be untouched by it all.
Unknown to me at that time, my father (whom I considered to be just a crazy old man) was down on his knees praying for me -- his lost son. I did desire his love and this desire would lead me to visit him. His heart was always heavy from seeing the way I was living. He would look me in the eye and call my sins out and ask when I was going to repent from all my evil. He would try to tell me of a loving God who hated sin but I would not hear of it. His words burned my hardened heart. I would yell "You crazy old man, pray for yourself. Dope and what it brings is my religion". Angrily I would leave with one thought "He's crazy".
My luck that I so prided myself in seemed to be running out. Three times I went to prison for dealing drugs. A rival drug dealer held me at gunpoint and took me out to the river where he pistol whipped me and broke my nose and ribs. He left nothing but a bloody hulk of human meat to die. Many were the times I should have died but my father was still praying for me. My father was standing on the promise of God's Word in Acts 16:31.
I decided I needed a change of lifestyle and decided to settle down. I met a girl in a barroom who had been abused as a child and had married very young. She ended up with three children and a bad marriage. After her divorce, she was out looking for "Mr. Right" but instead found me!
Sis Pat Louviere:
I had just gone through a divorce when I met Doc Louviere. I was young and really did believe he was "Mr. Right". We settled down and Doc started farming marijuana. We would go to rock concerts and have biker friends over to visit. I was having an exciting time. Then Doc turned me on to "drugs".
Bro Doc Louviere:
Yes, I showed my girl my love by turning her on to drugs. As a front for my drug money I took a job on a deep sea trawling boat three months out of the year. I will never forget the night we were traveling about 20 miles south of Corpus Christi. I was on deck about to smoke my last marijuana joint when a sudden gust of wind blew the joint out of my hand. In the Gulf of Mexico and the middle of the night a bright light appeared to me and spoke, "I am your God that created you. Quit serving the evil one and start serving the Most High God!" When the light faded and the voice silenced the seas grew rough. The captain took us to shore and there I learned my Dad was dying. Rushing to see him one last time he gave me his dying message. "I always tried to show you right but you wouldn't listen. I won't see it but I know one day you will see everything and know the truth."
My life went from bad to worse. I became a junkie. I was riding with gangs and committing robberies. I tortured dogs while training them to attack and kill. Looking in the mirror of my life I saw the worthless wretch I had become. All that was left for me to do was end it all with a .357 magnum to my head.
Twice I tried to commit suicide with a pistol and twice God delivered me through the intervention of a friend. At 34 I wandered around with no will to live. My next attempt would be to hang myself. My girlfriend knew of my despondency.
Sis Pat Louviere:
Around this time my children had begun to attend church and had asked me to go to see them in a church program. I went and there I found Jesus and accepted Him as Lord and Savior. I was different but Doc barely noticed. He was so despondent and suicidal. I had wanted to marry him for five years but he always refused. One day I asked him to do just one thing for me -- go to church one time with me. It was a simple request and this time he said "yes".
Bro Doc Louviere:
When Pat asked me to go to church with her I decided this was one request I would honor before I ended my life. My appearance was red and scruffy. My hair was long. I carried a knife and a chain and wore spiked bands on my wrist. I rode to church that night on my old Harley. Little did I know that I would meet Jesus that night and my life would change drastically.
Jesus was not just some character in a Bible story. He was real and he was alive! He took me just like I was... at my worst... and He delivered me from every sin that I ever committed. My life started changed from that day forward before my very eyes. Each day I am amazed at how He has transformed me from the dung-heap I made of my life into a vessel fit for His service.
Thank You Jesus!

Doc & Pat's Testimonial
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth...
Psalms 40:2,3
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
